What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with plant-based wax made from soybean and coconut oil. Our vegan and paraffin free candles are also made with cotton wicks and completely phthalate free fragrance oils allowing for a cleaner, safer candle burning experience.

How long do your candles burn?

Our candles typically burn for about 50 hours. Although we do not recommend burning candles for more than 4 hours at a time.

How long do reed diffusers last?

The longevity of your reed diffusers varies based on different factors including room size and number of reeds used. We use our reed diffusers in our home and are still able to smell their fragrance for months.

Why are my wax melts not smelling strong?

Wax melts are smaller than candles. Therefore wax melts work better in smaller rooms. Try putting the wax melt in a smaller room for a stronger scent pay off.

What do you mean by top, middle and base in fragrance notes?

Top notes, also known as the head notes, are considered the “first impression” notes. These are the first to evaporate. The middle, or heart notes, make up the main body of the fragrance. These notes are considered the “personality” of the fragrance. These notes will emerge just after the fleeting top notes. Base notes are the last to appear to our senses. They are slow to evaporate, but once they show themselves they have a long-lasting power. Base notes are less visible in cold throw, but more prominent in hot throw. Cold throw is the fragrance you smell when the candle is not lit and the wax is hard. Hot throw is what you smell when the candle is lit and begins to pool.

How do I trim the wick?

You can trim your wick using wick trimmers, scissors or nail clippers. We suggest checking out our candle care guide for more information. We have wick trimmers in our wick kit located in our accessories page.

How many reeds should I use in the diffuser?

All of our reed diffusers come with 8 reeds. How many of these reeds are used is totally up to you. Rattan reeds are placed into the mixture to draw the solution up. The solution then evaporates into the air leaving the aroma molecules behind for you to smell. The more reeds you use, the stronger the scent. If the reed diffuser will be fragrancing a very large room, or you enjoy a strong scent, use all 8 reeds. But keep in mind that a diffuser with lots of reeds will not last as long as a diffuser with fewer reeds. If you’d like extra reeds, you can purchase 12 more in our accessories page.

Do you allow refunds or exchanges?

All purchases are FINAL. If your item is incorrect, damaged or defective after 7 days of delivery, you can request an exchange for an item of the same cost. Exchange requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. Anything after 7 days will be void. Once approved, exchanges can take up to 3 weeks to process.
